Teen airlifted after almost drowning in Cass County pond

LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) – A teenager is in critical condition after almost drowning in a Cass County pond Tuesday night.

Indiana Conservation Officers said 16-year-old Brandon Kinser had been swimming on private property during a baseball awards banquet when he began to struggle to stay above water.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. near Twelve Mile in Adams Township.

Others realized Kinser was having trouble and jumped in to help.

Two people nearby found Kinser underwater and brought him up to a nearby boat.

He was taken to shore where people immediately gave him CPR.

Kinser was airlifted to Parkview Regional Medical Center and is still in critical condition.
