The Art of Racing: Interactive Pop-Up Art Exhibit Races into the Month of May

He’s a former Park Tudor, IU baseball and MLB player who developed his passion for Art while playing for the LA Dodgers.

Micah Johnson, Founder of CoArt, is bringing an art experience to his home state first, as part of launching the next phase of his career. His next exhibit will be in Cleveland this July with a baseball theme to tie into the MLB All-Star Week.

o    Dates: May 10 – June 9

o    Price: $8 for kids, $15-18 for adults
o    Description: ‘The Art of Racing’, an all-ages pop-up art exhibit in downtown Indianapolis, will feature local artists and engineers displaying work in connection with the Indianapolis 500.
o    Visitors will have the opportunity to walk the exhibit, capture photos of installations and experience what it’s like to race around the track at 200mph via the exhibit’s Racing Simulator. Exhibits include interactive experiences such as the historic balloon release at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on race day, jumping into a pool of money after cruising into Victory Circle, and the racing simulator. The show will also feature a tire swing to show the evolution of the tire, an infinity room that provides the unique rush of cars zooming past you into infinite space, and an interactive mural where patrons can create their own art.
