The timeline for snow showers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Friday. 

Thursday night: 
Scattered snow showers will bring minor snow accumulation through Friday morning to around 1 to 2 inches. Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 20s throughout the night. 

Friday:
Snow showers will continue into the Friday morning commute. A wintry mix of precipitation with a chance for freezing drizzle will occur before noon. 

The afternoon will remain sightly warmer with temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s. Overnight, we will be dry but not as cold; expect temperatures in the 30s under mostly cloudy skies. 

8 day forecast:
Showers develop Saturday by early afternoon with a few isolated thunderstorms, it will be a windy and much warmer day with highs in the low 50s. On Sunday, temperatures will fall and gusty winds will come for the afternoon.

Dry and calm conditions will kick off the workweek. It will not be as cold next week with afternoon high temperatures in the 40s for much of the week. Expect a much warmer end to the week with high temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. Prepare for several chance for rain and storms next week.
