The timeline for when the rain will go away

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Showers are likely Thursday night with a few isolated thunderstorms south of the city. 

Thursday night: 
We continue to track scattered rain showers and cooler temperatures tonight. We can’t rule out a few isolated thunderstorms mainly south of interstate 70. Temperatures will fall to the 40s overnight. 

Friday:
A few lingering showers will start our day Friday. The chance for rain will decrease throughout the day, clouds will decrease as well, making way for a little afternoon sunshine. Breezy and slightly warmer Friday with high temperatures in the mid-60s. Much colder air will sink in Friday night. Mostly clear and colder Friday night as temperatures fall to the low 40s.

Saturday  
It will be a dry start to the day with a mix of sun and clouds. Clouds will increase bringing mostly cloudy and cooler conditions throughout the day on Saturday. Scattered rain showers will develop by afternoon bringing light rain. You can expect high temperatures in the low 60s.

Sunday
Partly sunny and cooler Sunday, with temperatures only warming to the upper 50s. Mainly dry Sunday with a slight chance for an isolated shower before sunrise Sunday. 

8 day forecast: 
It will be warming up with several chances for rain next week. Showers and thunderstorms will once again develop Monday. It will be much warmer Tuesday and Wednesday as temperatures warm to the 70s. Prepare for a daily chance for showers and storms.
