This is already Indy’s fifth-wettest February ever
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’re only 13 days into the month of February and already our precipitation is above normal for the month.
Measurable precipitation has been recorded for eight of the 13 days so far, including 1.45″ on Feb. 9.
The total precipitation for February is 3.70″ which is 2.72″ above normal. This is the fifth-wettest start to February on record in Indianapolis.
The yearly precipitation is also above normal. Since Jan. 1 Indianapolis has received 6.52″ which is almost 3″ above normal.
This is the 20th wettest start to the year on record.
More rain and snow is in the forecast for later this weekend.
