Thousands of kids to take over Monument Circle for 500 Festival Kids’ Day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Thousands of kids and their family members are expected to take over Monument Circle Saturday as part of the Month of May celebration. 

The event is called the Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day & Rookie Run. 

It will feature 50 exhibitors and interactive activities for the kids to stretch both their minds and muscles. 

Some of the activities include:

  • 500 Festival Chef Zone
  • 500 Festival Fitness Zone & Obstacle Course
  • 500 Festival Arts & Craftz Zone
  • Interactive Zones
  • Entertainment Stage
  • Free haircuts for kids
  • Inflatable bounce houses
  • Face painting

The Kids’ Day kicks off at Monument Circle at 12 p.m. Saturday and will go on until 4 p.m. For more information on the day’s events and for road closures, click here. Free shuttles will also be provided for the event.

The 25th annual Rookie Run will take off at 12:30 p.m. 

Distances of the run will be based on the child participating. Kids ages three to 10 will run courses on Ohio and Meridian streets.
