Man shot, killed on near east side in city’s first homicide of 2017

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Authorities are investigating after a man was shot dead Tuesday afternoon.

“I worry about my mom, she is 80-years-old,” said Donald Woods.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police are asking for tips.

“We always encourage folks to keep your ears open, keep your eyes open, give us a call and let us know what they know,” said IMPD Officer Jim Gillespie.
