Tour a haunted house for Valentine’s Day

SEYMOUR, Ind. (WISH) — A haunted house is open for Valentine’s Day in southern Indiana.

Fear Fair is normally open for Halloween and Christmas. For the past three years, they have been open for Valentine’s Day, too.

There is a different theme each time, which founder Brett Hays says attracts visitors.

“It’s about memories,” Hays said. “We’re making memories here and this is going to be a Valentine’s Day you’re going to remember, a lot more than chocolate or something. This is making experiences.”

The haunted house brings in traffic from Indianapolis, Louisville and Cincinnati.

More than 60 actors, dressed in various costumes, are spread throughout 25 rooms waiting for the next visitor.

“I saw in the news articles that you could do Valentine’s Day at White Castle,” Hays said. “And I wondered how getting a slider is exciting.”

Hays says the experience is unique and exciting.

“It’s a lot more than getting chocolate or something like that,” he said.

If you’d like a different option to celebrate the holiday than dinner and chocolate, Fear Fair is open on Feb. 16 from 8 p.m. to midnight.
