INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Here’s a look at Tuesday’s business headlines.


The University of Notre Dame, Depauw University, Wabash College and Butler University were ranked tops among Indiana schools in their respective categories.

The US News and World Report ranking put Purdue at 56th nationally, IU was 89 and Ball State was 71st.

Butler was tied for number one with Creighton in best Midwest regional university.


A St. Louis ag tech compnay has gotten $60 million in funding to grow.

Benson Hill biosystems uses data to improve crops.

It uses cloud computing, artificial intelligence and biology.

The company recently reached a dead with Indiana’s Beck Hybrids to bring to market the first photosynthetic efficiency trait that will help farmers increase corn yields.

Solar energy

California will set a goal of phasing out all fossil fuels from teh state’s electricity sector y by 2045.

Governor Jerry Brown signed the measure before global leaders in climate change meet in San Franciso.

The goal of renewable energy by 2025 is only a goal, there are no penalties for falling short.
