Two arrested after home invasion on city’s west side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s SWAT team was deployed following a home invasion on the city’s west side.

IMPD said a call for a residential robbery in the 4000 block of Gamay Lane came in Friday afternoon. That’s near I-465 and 38th Street.

It resulted in the arrest of two individuals, 46-year-old Omar Greggs and 44-year-old Richard Joyner.

IMPD said officers arrived at the home after an individual called to report the home invasion. Officers were able to get the individual out of the home, but saw that a suspect inside of the home was armed. Officers then called for SWAT.

SWAT entered the residence and were able to arrest the suspects. Both men face preliminary charges of robbery, kidnapping and criminal confinement.
