Two hospitalized after shooting in Camby

CAMBY, Ind. (WISH) — Two people are in the hospital following a shooting in Camby.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting. MCSO says the pair, identified as 32-year-old Michael Hadley and 31-year-old Staci Frisk, were shot in the 7800 block of E. Hadley Road and then drove to St. Francis Hospital and then were transported to an Indianapolis-area hospital. Hadley was shot in the arm; Frisk was hit in the neck by either a bullet or a fragment.

MCSO believes the pair showed up at the residence of 43-year-old Jason Soots and an argument over money and property occurred before Soots fired at the vehicle driven by Hadley and Frisk.

Soots has been interviewed, released and not arrested. Investigators are still gathering evidence to make a determination if criminal charges will be filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
