South Bend high schools to offer free COVID-19 vaccine clinics

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WISH) — Five South Bend high schools will be offering free COVID-19 vaccination clinics during the month of October, South Bend Community School Corporation announced Monday.

Pfizer vaccines will be offered from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Oct. 5 — Adams High School (Second dose to be administered on Oct. 26)
  • Oct. 7 — Washington High School (Second dose to be administered on Oct. 28)
  • Oct. 12 — Riley High School (Second dose to be administered on Nov. 4)
  • Oct. 13 — Clay High School (Second dose to be administered on Nov. 3)

The fifth high school, Rise Up Academy, will hold their first clinic on Oct. 27 from 10 a.m until noon. The second clinic will be held on Nov. 17.

Students under the age of 18 must bring a signed consent form to receive a vaccination. The school said that family members of students are welcome.

The clinics are a partnership between the South Bend Community School Corporation and HealthLinc, the school said.
