Veterans Affairs offers open house with jobs, education

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – There is a chance for veterans in Indiana to learn about jobs, education and other resources available to them.

It’s the state’s Department of Veterans Affairs’ outreach event.

It goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the 38th Division Armory, 3912 West Minnesota Street.

“They’ll help you write a business plan, with every contingency,” said Indy veteran Gloria Johnson. “If this goes wrong, here’s my Plan B. If this goes wrong, here’s my plan C, so that you will have a back up and all the resources you need to succeed.”

The event offers a variety of assistance for participants. Those include:

  • Introductions to prospective employers
  • Remission of fees
  • VA benefits
  • Claims Process
  • Care
  • Education
  • Business Opportunities

The open house is free to get in, and everyone is welcome.
