Victim identified in fatal shooting on northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is dead following a shooting on the city’s northeast side.

According to police, the shooting happened in the 3100 block of Brouse Avenue at the Blackburn Terrace Apartments in the courtyard just after 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Police found 25-year-old Phillip Brown with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

IMPD said dozens of people were outside at the time of the shooting.

So far no witnesses have come forward.

Police have not released any suspect information.
