Victory Field raises Indianapolis 500 flag in honor of IMS night
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – In honor of Indianapolis Motor Speedway night with the Indianapolis Indians Friday, the Indianapolis 500 flag will be raised Thursday.
IMS and President Doug Boles were at Victory Field Thursday at 1:30 p.m. to raise a flag for the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500.
The flag was raised in left field on the West Maryland Street side of the stadium, across from the JW Marriott hotel.
The flag will be taken down Sunday, May 29 and replaced by the POW flag out of respect for military services on Memorial Day.
Friday nights game at Victory Field is “The Greatest Spectacular in Racing,” presented by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The first 2,500 fans will receive a baseball giveaway. A fireworks show will follow after the game.
The Indians play Louisville at 7:15 p.m.
