Video surfaces from day after 8-month-old girl was reported missing
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It’s a surveillance video from Sunday morning.
The neighbor that gave it to News 8 says it shows Robert Lyons, Amber Robertson’s boyfriend, coming out of the house of Amiah Robertson’s babysitters on South Holmes Avenue. Amiah, an 8-month-old girl missing more than a week, is the subject of an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department missing persons search.
The neighbor who provided the video told News 8 that Lyons, mom Amber and daughter Amiah had been living in a car behind the house. Amiah had just been reported missing the day before this video was taken. Her family said that house is where she was last seen.
In the video, Lyons is empty-handed as he steps out of view of the camera. Seconds later, he is headed around the yard toward the rear of the house.
He goes out view of the camera again, this time for several minutes. He reappears in the camera view walking south down an alley and carrying what appears to be a trash bag.
A few minutes later Lyons comes back in the view of the camera. He’s empty-handed and with another man. The two go through the front gate and out of the camera view.
The camera view does not show him going back inside.
A short time later, two IMPD officers show up at the house. The police are not shown going into the house.
A few minutes later. Lyons and the other man come back into camera view carrying more bags.
Police arrested Lyons later on Sunday on charges unrelated to Amiah’s disappearance. Lyons has since been released from jail.
