Warm, muggy with showers and storms this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A few scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible this Saturday evening. It’s going to be mild and muggy with lows in the upper 60s.

The showers and thunderstorms come to an end later Saturday night but will ramp back up after midnight. So another round of storms will be possible after midnight into the first part of the morning Sunday.

Sunday morning, we’ll see a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Once the storms move out, we’ll see several dry hours before another round moves into the area for the afternoon.

It’s going to be warm and muggy with more cloud cover than we saw Saturday, meaning temperatures will likely stay in the upper 70s, close to 80.

If you’re heading to the race, be prepared for rain.

More showers and thunderstorms pop up in the early afternoon. Some of the thunderstorms we see may be on the stronger side. The Storm Prediction Center has much of Indiana under a slight risk. This means lightning, heavy rain, hail and gusty winds will be possible with these thunderstorms.

It looks like it will be a dry start to Memorial Day. Skies stay partly cloudy with a chance for showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. Highs climb into the lower 80s.

Tuesday looks dry with highs in the middle 80s. Showers and storms will be possible on Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures drop back into the 70s for the rest of the week which is right around normal for this time of year.
