Warmer day; Storms on Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Scattered showers for this morning hours with temperatures in the 40s. Showers will begin to move eastbound late morning, early afternoon. Highs will soar to the lower 60s Wednesday afternoon with a bit of a southerly breeze. Mostly cloudy skies will take us through the evening hours with storm chances increasing through the overnight. Lows will cool to the mid-50s.

Indianapolis (WISH) 

Showers and storms are likely through the morning hours on Thursday with a brief break from the precipitation late morning, early afternoon. There is a threat for stronger to severe thunderstorms for the later half of the afternoon and evening with a slight risk across much of the state. Damaging winds, small hail, heavy rain and an isolated tornado are possible. Highs will warm to the upper 60s near 70°. Showers and storms will move out along with the cloud cover. It’ll be a gusty day with winds gusting around 40-45 mph through the day.

Friday will be a significantly colder day with highs in the lower 40s with a few sprinkles and flurries around. This weekend will be a dry on but chilly with highs in the 40s with mostly sunny skies. Could see a stray mix during the afternoon Sunday. Next week, highs will slowly warm to the 50s with mostly sunny skies.
