West Lafayette woman accused of stabbing a stranger with a knife

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – A Fourth of July stabbing has resulted in criminal charges for a West Lafayette woman.

Juliet Whiteley, 47, is accused of attacking a man at a home on N. 18th Street on Saturday night in Lafayette.

The victim told officers with the Lafayette Police Department that he was sitting on his patio when Whiteley walked up to him, jumped into his lap and began stabbing him with a small knife.

The victim says he had seen Whiteley several times, but the two had actually never met.

Whiteley is charged with two felonies – battery and criminal recklessness.
