The first event is the Grand Park 5K, which begins at 8 a.m. Monday. There’s also a kids fun run at 9:15 a.m.

Then at 10 a.m., the Crossfit Thrive Memorial Day Murph Challenge begins. Grand Park organizers said they expect to see hundreds of local athletes, service members and law enforcement to complete this workout, which includes a one-mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 air squats, and then another one-mile run.

Those activities do require registration, but you can register Monday if you come early.

There will also be a flag dedication ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and starting at 10 there will be a bounce house for kids, airbrush tattoos and even an outdoor concerts for kids. Folks are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. The activities will mostly take place on or near fields 4 and 5 and parking is available in Lot C.
