Woman arrested after Vermillion County crash
VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – An early morning crash in Vermillion County lands a Veedersburg woman behind bars.
It happened Tuesday around 1 a.m. on State Road 63 on an on ramp to I-74.
That’s where police said a passenger car jumped a center divider and came to a rest on its side.
The driver of the car was 53-year-old Jinny Roesch of Veedersburg.
Police noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from the car.
Police said Roesch refused medical treatment.
When officers gave her a chemical breath test, she blew a .23 percent. The legal limit in Indiana is .08 percent.
Roesch was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior offense within five years.
She is currently in the Vermillion County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
