Woman calls 911 after being pulled over

MONROE, La. (KTVE) — Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a woman after they pulled her over for traffic violations and she called 911 on them.

Alicia Calvin, 34 of Monroe, was arrested on Sunday, August 19, 2018.

According to an arrest report, deputies saw Calvin on Highway 165 with an expired license plate.

NCIC showed the vehicle was uninsured. Deputies made a traffic stop. Deputies say Calvin wouldn’t give them her license, registration or proof of insurance. Deputies found Calvin had called 911 prior to pulling over.

Calvin was telling the 911 operator that the deputy was hostile and had a gun on their hip.

The deputy told Calvin if she refused to comply, she would be arrested.

The deputy could hear the operator telling her to comply. Calvin refused for 7 minutes until another deputy arrived for back-up.

Deputies then gave her numerous commands to exit her vehicle, she still refused.

The deputy opened Calvin’s vehicle, attempted to remove her and she tried to jerk away. Deputies then removed her from the vehicle and placed her on the ground for handcuffing.

Calvin was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of an expired license plate, security required, resisting an officer and criminal mischief.

Calvin was released from jail two hours after booking.
