WWE reinstates Hulk Hogan into hall of fame

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) – Hulk Hogan is back in the WWE Hall of Fame, the entertainment company announced Sunday, fueling speculation the wrestler may be returning to television.

The company terminated its contract with Hogan in 2015 after an audio recording of him using the n-word was leaked to the press.  He was quickly fired by WWE and all mention of the wrestler was scrubbed from their website.

After an apology tour, a suspension and three years working with kids, the company announced Hogan was reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame.

“This second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake. These efforts led to a recent induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame,” the company said in a statement.

The Clearwater native acknowledged the meeting in a tweet of his own.

Now word is going around that Hogan may be making a return to WWE television.
