‘Zoopolis 500’ features annual tortoise race
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Rain didn’t stop a little racing fun at the Indianapolis Zoo Wednesday morning.
Tortoises took the green flag at the 40th annual “Zoopolis 500.”
For the second consecutive year, Ed was the race winner. Simon finished second and Pippa rounded out the top three.
IndyCar driver and 2013 Indianapolis 500 winner Tony Kanaan once again served as grand marshal for the race.
