Stephanie joined I-Team 8 in the fall of 2017 as the WISH investigative reporter, a role about which she is most passionate. Her favorite stories are those that hold the powerful accountable. Stephanie appreciates the opportunity to be an advocate for Hoosiers.
She came to WISH by way of Las Vegas, Nevada, where she ran a popular investigative franchise called “You Ask. We Investigate.” There, Stephanie reported on problems affecting everyday people, including landlord-tenant issues, school problems, and various bureaucratic frustrations.
Earlier in her broadcast career she worked at KTVB in Boise, Idaho where she covered some of the largest wildfires in the Western US; and at KRGV in Weslaco, Texas where she focused on immigration and drug trafficking on the US-Mexico border. She speaks conversational Spanish.
She is skilled at computer-assisted and database reporting. Stephanie has won Edward R. Murrow and Idaho press club awards, as well as the providing lead stories in newscasts which won NATAS Regional Emmys.
Stephanie got her start at KOMU in Columbia, MO, where she worked while a student at the University of Missouri. She graduated Cum Laude from the School of Journalism, and was an Honors College student with an emphasis in multi-cultural studies. As you might imagine, she’s a big Missouri Tiger fan!
Stephanie was born and raised in Denver, CO. She loves Colorado sports teams, her rescue dog, singing karaoke, and volunteering with the Junior League of Indianapolis. She is honored to tell the stories of central Indiana.
