“Date your Spouse” ❤️ … Some of the best advice I have received, yet it becomes difficult with two little ones at home. My husband and I took a small getaway to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and went down to Kentucky! We kicked things off with a bourbon tasting 🥃 at Jeptha Creed Distillery, which was incredible— such history there! This first picture is my favorite because it was a selfie station that was timed… I was laughing so hard because I told Derek we looked like we were taking a prom photo… this was the result 😆 The next night, we took a dinner train in Bardstown, KY, 🚂 which I highly recommend if you ever get the chance! Small mishap though— We only had appetizers and dessert, as they didn’t have enough staff to make and serve dinner. (So unfortunate) They were supposed to have informed everybody, but we somehow didn’t make the list. No worries though, we made the best of it! It was a quick 2-day getaway, but an important one, nonetheless. Life with kids get so busy, and sometimes we just need to step back and focus on each other. 10 years later, and we have just as much fun together as we did the first week we met. Oh, and you know… we were in Kentucky, aka bourbon trail land, so my husband is probably a bourbon expert by now 🥃, with all of the brands he got to “sample,” so there’s that. Date your spouse. Whenever you can. I promise, it’s soooo worth it! #seeyoumonday
