I got my first job in TV in 2010. I worked as an editor for a satellite channel and my boss told me at a Christmas party later he had no idea I was 19 when he hired me. I went to Brigham Young University- one of the top broadcast journalism schools in the nation. That opened doors for internships in Phoenix, New York City, and Salt Lake City. I put everything on hold to spend 2 years representing Jesus Christ as a missionary in Japan. Then I went back to the newsroom, first to Wichita Falls, TX and then home to Indianapolis, IN. I may go back to TV journalism, but for now I’m signing off and signing onto a more stable adventure for my family. I’ll be telling healthcare stories with Ascension St Vincent starting in November, working daytime hours and spending nights and weekends with my growing family. THANK YOU for watching, reading, reacting, and caring about local news. THANK YOU for praying for my son to come into this world healthy and strong. THANK YOU for sending me kind emails or social messages during weekend Daybreak, telling me you like my smile or that I made a difference in your day. Have a favorite memory? Share it! I’ll be on-air all weekend.
