Butler ready for No. 6 Villanova

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Butler Head Basketball Coach Chris Holtmann has the hottest team in the state these days.

On Saturday the Bulldogs won their fifth straight game against DePaul at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Butler is now tied with Providence for second place in the Big East at 7-3.

The Bulldogs have a huge game this Saturday at home against sixth ranked Villanova with first place in the conference on the line.

“You certainty want to try to stay in the moment as much as possible but you also don’t want to kind of down play this moment for our guys. They’ve earn this opportunity so I don’t want to sit up here and say well it’s just another game and we’re going to roll out there and no one believes that first of all and it’s discredit to these guys. They’ve earned the right to play a meaningful game in February. Now we have to prepare and have to have a great week of preparations. But they’ve earned that right.” said Holtmann
