Colts, Pacers players raise money bowling to help kids

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – Members of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers teams joined forces to come together Monday night for a special cause.

The annual Amp Harris, Robert Mathis and T.Y. Hilton Bowling Fundraiser took place at Woodland Bowling Center in Carmel.

Players raised money to give 1,000 kids toys this holiday season. The players say it’s important to give back, especially this time of year.

Former Colts player Mathis said, “I know what it’s like to come from humble beginnings. To be able to put a smile on a child’s face, it really is something special to be a part of it. It does your heart well.

Pacers player Myles Turner said, “I feel like a lot of people look up to us. Especially in as big of a sports community as Indianapolis is with the Pacers and the Colts. It’s just an honor to be a part of it.To be able to be looked up to.”

The players also partook in some bowling.
