Cowboys are used to winning under pressure this season
The Dallas Cowboys (10-6) on New Year’s Day were preparing to face the Seattle Seahawks (10-6) in wildcard playoff action.
The Cowboys and Seahawks will play in Arlington on Saturday at 7:15 pm (central). The game will be televised on Fox.
One of the popular narratives this week concerning the Cowboys is that they’re a young team without much playoff experience. That’s why coach Jason Garrett says the team prepares the same each week – whether it’s a meaningful game ahead or meaningless.
“I think the biggest thing we try to do regardless of the circumstance is to be who we are, and be the best versions of us,” Garrett said on Tuesday.
“We try to do that each day in practice – preparing for whatever the game is,” Garrett said.
The Cowboys understand must-win because they had to win 7 of the last 8 games to secure first-place in the NFC East. All of those games were close – one was a victory in overtime, so the Cowboys do know what it’s like this season to win under pressure.
