Driver, rookie Dalton Kellett set to take part in Indy 500, discusses historic race

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – At least one Indy 500 tradition looks secure.

The speedway says there are 33 driver/car combos confirmed for the race in late August.

This year’s field of driver’s includes eight former 500 winners, including last year’s champ Simon Pagenaud and Helio Castroneves, who will compete in his 20th Indy 500 race.

Five rookies are also set to start if they pass orientation and find the speed for qualifying.

Dalton Kellett is one of those first-timers.

Kellett was on Daybreak Tuesday to discuss taking part in the historic race.
