Josef Newgarden claims IndyCar pole at Road America

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (WISH) — Team Penske star Josef Newgarden is back in a familiar position.

Less than one week after Newgarden was unable to hold off Pato O’Ward late at Detroit, the No. 2 machine claimed the pole at Road America for Sunday’s Rev Group Grand Prix. 

This marks his third pole at the storied track and the 13th pole of his IndyCar career.
