The Indiana Department of Transportation will Wednesday host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Logansport Maintenance Unit building. Local and state officials will gather to celebrate the opening of the $3 million facility.
The lead investigator, Detective Brent Ingram of the state police, issued a statement Friday.
The crash occurred before 9:15 p.m. south of U.S. 35 at North County Road 350 West. That's about 5 miles northwest of Logansport.
All six bodies are known to have smoke inhalation injuries; however, a toxicology report is still pending.
The crash was reported about 6:50 p.m. on U.S. 35 in Cass County, according to the Peru post of Indiana State Police.
State highway department spokesman Scott Manning said a traffic study will be completed to see whether changes will be recommended.
The case involved a Virginia Beach woman and her 7-year-old son who were found shot to death inside a burning home, authorities said.
Supporters believe the piece could be finished by next June, though they may need more money.
Police say officers from the Cass County Sheriff's Department responded to a 911 call at Pollard's home in which the caller said Pollard was stabbing himself with a knife.
The incident happened in the 600 block of Carroll Drive just after 4 a.m.
