Izzy the dog is unfortunately going through a tough time right now, as she has unfortunately been diagnosed with cancer.

It’s predicted that she has 3 to 6 months to live, and the people of Grateful Rescue & Sanctuary say this could’ve possibly been avoided if she was spayed at a young age.

Pamela Terhune, president and founder of Grateful Rescue & Sanctuary, joined us Monday on “Life. Style. Live!” with Izzy to share how this common procedure could be a matter of life or death for pets. She also shared the details of the upcoming events to benefit Grateful Rescue & Sanctuary.

Patty Spitler, Pet Pals TV host, joined us Thursday with Pamela Terhune, founder and president of Grateful Rescue, to share more about the big event where you can see Spitler as the host and racing legend Al Unser Jr. as the special guest.

The special evening is happening on Saturday, April 2 at the Skyline Club, atop the One America Building in Downtown Indianapolis. Admission is by ticket only and tickets can be purchased at

Entertainment for the night will include singer/songwriter Jennie DeVo performing an acoustic set and Retro Rewind DJ Travis Bell.

Proceeds from the event will help Grateful Rescue take unwanted dogs & cats, rehabilitate them and find them loving homes.

Grateful Rescue will soon begin construction on 38-acres of land on the west side of Muncie operating as Grateful Rescue and Sanctuary.

Grateful Rescue already provides community services for veterans and active military, dogs reading with kids, nursing home and hospice tours. The organization also advocates for the humane treatment of all animals, all in a beautiful sanctuary setting where stress-free animals will connect with happy people.

Grateful Rescue and Sanctuary and Tinkle Family Racing are teaming up to gather pet supplies for animal rescues in need as part of the Racing For Rescues Tour.

ARCA Menards Series Driver Zachary Tinkle will take pet supplies to local pet rescues in several cities where he will be racing.

Pet Pals TV’s Kitty Correspondent KJ connected Tinkle with Pamela Lewis Terhune of Grateful Rescue who loved the idea, thus, the collaboration was born. The focus is on the season starter and races closer to the Tinkle’s hometown Speedway, IN and the Grateful Rescue headquarters in Muncie, IN.
Grateful Rescue is a nationally networked rescue organization that helps other rescues. They will identify the rescues in each of the cities, find out the needs of those rescues and assist with the procurement of the items needed. Tinkle and his family will load supplies and deliver them to the identified rescues. The receiving rescues will be released at a later date.
