You can prepare cocktails at home just as smooth and tasty as Brett W. Butler’s because his Alcomy Elixirs can be purchased at the Carmel and Fishers Summer Farmers Markets through September!
Brett is the owner/operator of ALCOMY LLC. and he joined us Wednesday on “Life.Style.Live!” to share the recipes for “Black Manhattan” and “I’m Kind of a Big Dill” cocktails/mocktails.
“I’m Kind of a Big Dill” (A Ron Burgundy-inspired mocktail/cocktail)

Ingredients:
- 5-6 Large Mango Chunks, diced
- 3 sprigs Fresh Dill
- 2-3 sprigs Fresh Cilantro
- 2 thin slices Habanero pepper
- 1 oz. Lime juice
- 1.5 oz. Passion Fruit syrup
- 1 tbsp Pineapple Balsamic vinegar
For the cocktail:
- 1.5 oz. Tequila Blanco
- .5 oz. Vida Mezcal
Directions:
Add the mango, cilantro, dill and passion fruit syrup to a mixing glass or Boston shaker. Muddle thoroughly for about 20 seconds. Add the rest of the ingredients, ice and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds. Double-strain over ice in a Collins glass and float seltzer water. Garnish with fresh dill sprig and mango. To make the cocktail version, add the alcohol, shake and double-strain over ice in a large double-rocks glass, w/out the seltzer. Garnish with fresh dill and mango.
“Black Manhattan”

Ingredients:
- 2.5 oz. Hard Truth Straight Rye
- 1 oz. Averna
- 2 dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters
- 2 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice, and stir for about 20 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry.

In honor of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria being in the “Life.Style.Live!” kitchen this morning Brett Butler, Alcomy LLC. mixologist and owner, mixed up his own version of the classic Italian “Negroni” cocktail. He calls his version, “The Naptown Negroni.” He also prepared “The Alcomist’s Aviation.”
“Naptown Negroni”
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Off Hours Bourbon
- 1 oz. Hard Truth Hills Gin
- .5 oz. La Boite American Amaro
- .5 oz. Thai-chile infused Aperol
- 1 oz. Dolin Sweet Vermouth
Directions:
Build the entire drink over a large ice cube in a double-old fashioned glass. Stir for approximately 15-20 seconds. Garnish with a mozzarella caprese skewer drizzled with Artisano’s pineapple white balsamic vinegar.
“The Alcomist’s Aviation”
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Lavender and Butterfly Pea Flower infused Aviation gin
- .75 oz. Rothman and Winter Creme de Violette
- .75 oz. Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
- .50 oz. Lemon juice
- Bsp Simple syrup
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds until well chilled. Stain into a coupe or Nick and Nora glass. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry and fresh lavender sprig.

Mixologist Brett W. Butler, owner of ALCOMY LLC., is helping us get into the spring spirit with these beautiful cocktails!
You can get a taste of his wonderful work on Saturday, April 30 at the Bev Hartig Huntington’s Disease Foundation fundraiser. He is partnering with them to provide the VIP Experience for the evening and his service will be available as an auction item.
Here are the recipes from today’s cocktails:
“The Bevertini”

(named in honor of Bev Hartig and the Huntington Disease Foundation)
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Vodka
- 0.5 oz. Dry Curacao
- 0.5 oz. St. Germain Elderflower liqueur
- 1 oz. Cranberry-Mandarin-Vanilla elixir
- 0.5 oz. Fresh lemon juice
- Bsp Cranberry jam soaked in Luxardo maraschino liqueur
- Bsp Artisano’s Cranberry Pear Balsamic Vinegar
- 3 Sprigs Fresh rosemary
Directions:
Muddle the rosemary, cranberry jam and lemon juice.
Add the rest of the ingredients and ice.
Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds, and double-strain into a coupe glass.
Garnish with smoked rosemary and dehydrated mandarin.
“Butterfly Kisses”

Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz. Lavender infused Aviation gin
- 1 oz. Hard Truth Hills toasted coconut rum
- 5 oz. Marie Brizard Parfait Amour
- 1 oz. Butterfly Pea Flower tea
- 1 oz. Ruby Grapefruit juice
- 0.5 oz. Fresh lemon juice
- 2 dashes Orange bitters
- 2 dashes Grapefruit bitters
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds until well chilled.
Stain over ice into a large Collins glass.
Garnish with an orchid and fresh lavender.

Feng Shui is not only the perfect way to make sure your house is in balance, but it’s also a cocktail that Brett Butler, Alcomy Life LLC. mixologist, made today that he says is, “a harmonious balance of sweet, sour and spice, with vodka, lychee, honey, ginger, lemongrass, Thai basil, grapefruit and Thai chile.”
Feng Shui

Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Vodka
- 1 oz. Grapefruit liqueur
- 1 oz. Honey Ginger Lemongrass Thai Chile elixir
- 2 Lychees
- 2-3 Thai Basil leaves
- 1/2 oz. Lemon juice
Directions:
Muddle the lychees, Thai basil and lemon juice until thoroughly mashed. Add the rest of the ingredients and ice. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds until well mixed and chilled. Stain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lychee.
“Alcomy Booster Shot,” with Blueberry-Acai probiotic drink, Pom juice, cashew milk liquid blueberry yogurt, Chia seed-infused Aloe juice, blueberry lavender ginger elixir, lemon, basil and bee pollen.
“Alcomy Booster Shot”

Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Blueberry-Acai probiotic drink
- 1 oz. Pomegranate juice
- 1 oz. Alcomy blueberry lavender ginger elixir
- 1.5 oz. Liquid cashew milk blueberry yogurt
- .75 oz. Chia seed infused Aloe juice
- squeeze of lemon wedge
- 2 fresh Basil leaves
Directions:
Muddle the fresh basil with a lemon wedge to extract a fine pulp, then add all the rest of the ingredients. Add ice and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds until mixed and chilled thoroughly. Strain into a large shot glass or small rocks glass rimmed with honey and bee pollen. Bottoms up!
