The trial could last through the beginning of March.
Prior to Tuesday's hearing, Bob appeared to be distracted and could be seen muttering to himself as he sat in court.
Bob Leonard's trial was moved to Allen County because of pretrial publicity. It is set for January.
Last month, a judge sentenced Leonard to two life sentences without parole and an additional 75 years.
Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said the office spent $62,805 for travel, lodging, expert witness fees and demonstrative exhibits.
Leonard was sentenced for his role in the 2012 Richmond Hill neighborhood explosion earlier this month.
Wednesday, another hearing was set for December 3 at 10 a.m.
Leonard faces a minimum sentence of 45 years and maximum sentence of 1,488 years, if all counts run consecutively.
