He is accused of stealing a sheriff’s deputy’s squad car and leading a manhunt through two counties in May.
Officers on scene said a man working on the bridge spotted the vehicle in the water, with its tires peeking out above the water level.
Sheriff Bill Miller says Christopher Hughes, 27, of Perrysville, was arrested late Tuesday night.
It happened sometime between 4:30 and 5 a.m. Tuesday on State Road 63 southbound, at US 136 in Warren County.
There were reports of houses being damaged in Tippecanoe, Warren and Tipton counties.
Bramlett is currently at St. Elizabeth East Hospital,.
Charges have also been filed against Bramlett in Warren County.
Police believe speeds in the pursuit reached 90 to 100 mph.
