A warm and quiet start to fall
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Tuesday marks the first day of astronomical Fall, with above-average temperatures on tap for the next several days.
Today:
Highs pressure remains in control of the eastern half of the country, keeping us quiet and comfortable across central Indiana. A few clouds from Beta will roll in for the southern half of the state Tuesday afternoon, otherwise, it’s a very pleasant day on tap. Highs top out in the upper 70s.
Tonight:
Quiet and seasonably cool overnight. Lows fall to the lower 50s.
Wednesday:
A mix of sun and clouds with warm temperatures in the afternoon. Highs top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
8 day forecast:
The dry pattern continues through the end of the week. Our next hope for needed rain arrives with a cold front on Sunday, and a second upper-level wave moving in on Monday. Temperatures look to stay warmer than normal through the end of the weekend, with hints of cooler air arriving early next week.
