Active weather pattern ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had a cloudy and chilly Monday to start the work week. Rain began to enter the state in the mid-afternoon hours, and we will see this rain continue to move through this evening.

Monday night:

Widespread rain will be in place through the evening and early nighttime hours. Mainly cloudy skies will be in place through the overnight hours.

Lows will dip into the mid 30s to low 40s.

A few spotty showers cannot be ruled out Tuesday morning. We will eventually dry out with some peeks of sun in the afternoon. Another chilly day will be in store for us with highs only topping out in the upper 40s.

We will start our Wednesday dry, but clouds and rain chances will increase throughout the day. Rain is likely by Wednesday night. Highs will rise into the upper 50s.

8 Day Forecast:

A tropical system (Zeta) will bring more rain to the area for Thursday with lingering rain chances through Friday morning. We look to dry out for the weekend in which it will be pleasant with plenty of sunshine. High temperatures will stick around in the 50s through the weekend.
