Chilly Tuesday, snow possible by midweek

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We got off to a cold and breezy start to the workweek across the state.

Monday night: Skies will remain partly cloudy through tonight with lows dipping into the low to mid 20s. Be prepared to bundle up if you are heading out for any plans.

Tuesday: Another cold day will be on tap with skies ranging from partly to mostly cloudy. Snow may push in for the southern counties late Tuesday night into very early Wednesday morning.

Highs will only rise into the mid 30s.

Wednesday: The next system that will work its way into the forecast for our Wednesday may bring light snow accumulations for Indy and points south. Scattered snow showers will be possible throughout the day.

Snow totals could reach up to an inch with locally higher amounts possible.

Highs will top out in the mid 30s.

8 Day Forecast: The remainder of our workweek will be dry and on the cooler side. Another disturbance could bring more snow showers to the area during the second half of Saturday. At the same time, we will work in a slow warming trend through the weekend and into next week with highs eventually reaching the mid 40s.
