INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A few light showers Tuesday morning with temperatures hovering near 60°. A cold front will move through the state early this morning causing temperatures to crash throughout the entire day. Highs in the afternoon will tumble through the 40s then 30s to wrap the evening commute. Light rain will fall for a good part of the day. We could see a light mix later Tuesday night causing slick roads early Wednesday.
Highs Wednesday will top out in the mid-30s with a quiet start to the morning. Our second system will move in through the afternoon with a wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet and light snow from Indy and points south and steady snow in northern portions of the state. Two to 4″ expected north of the viewing area while most spots will pick up 1″-3″ which Indy could pick up more ice. Slick roads are expected late Wednesday and through Thursday morning.
Thursday highs will continue to cool with highs in the lower 30s and isolated light flurry possible through the day.
This weekend looks good for now with highs rebounding to the upper 30s near 40° with a few flurries possible Saturday. Next week looks to start wet and mild with highs in the lower 40s with a few showers.
