Heat, humidity, and storms on the way

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had another nice summer day across central Indiana.

Tuesday night:

We will be mainly clear and dry tonight with lows dipping into the mid 60s.

Wednesday:

We will transition back to the heat and humidity for your Wednesday. Expect the majority of the day to be dry with storm chances increasing during the nighttime hours. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible as a line pushes into the state after sunset.

A Marginal Risk of severe weather is in place for the western half of Indiana with damaging winds and hail as the primary threats. We cannot rule out an isolated tornado for west central Indiana.

It will be hot and humid with highs topping out in the upper 80s to low 90s.

Thursday:

The active weather pattern will continue through our Thursday with showers and storms on and off throughout the day. Isolated strong to severe storms are not out of the question.

A Marginal Risk of severe weather is in place for nearly the southern two-thirds of the state. Damaging winds are the primary threat.

Highs will top out in the upper 80s to low 90s for what will be another hot and humid day.

8 Day Forecast:

The summer heat will continue to grip the state with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s through the weekend. Daily storm chances are in place from Wednesday through the first part of next week. The heat looks to continue into the new work week next week as well.
