Hot and humid to end the work week

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had another warm and humid day with showers and storms.

Thursday night:

We’ll continue to track the chance for a few spotty showers and storms this evening before storms diminish by sunset. Isolated strong storms are possible south of interstate 70.

An isolated severe storm cannot be ruled out as there is a Marginal Risk for severe weather for southern Indiana. Isolated damaging winds and hail are the primary threats. Torrential rainfall and frequent lightning will be threats with any thunderstorm.

We will remain mild through tonight with lows only dipping into the upper 60s.

Friday:

We will end the work week on a hot and humid note with a few isolated storms possible for your Friday afternoon after starting the day off mostly cloudy and dry. Light rain showers may linger through the evening commute. Mostly cloudy skies will continue through Friday night.

Highs top out in the upper 80s.

Weekend:

A stray shower is possible before sunrise Saturday, but expect the rest of the weekend to be dry. Saturday will be another very warm day with decreasing clouds as high temperatures rise into the mid 80s. Sunday will feel better weather wise with plentiful sunshine and high temperatures in the low 80s.

8 Day Forecast:

Our new work week will start off dry with above normal high temperatures continuing. Rain chances return to the forecast by next Tuesday. Cooler air looks to sink into the state towards the end of the work week next week.
