Quiet start to the workweek

Sunday evening forecast

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Sunday night is cloudy and cool with warmer temperatures for the beginning of the workweek.

SUNDAY NIGHT: We’ll see a few light sprinkles in parts of central Indiana on Sunday evening. Look for mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low to middle 30s. Overnight lows fall close to freezing.

MONDAY: Skies remain mostly cloudy for much of Monday. Temperatures climb into the upper 40s, close to 50, for the afternoon. Our normal high for this time of year is in the middle 30s. So even though we won’t see much sunshine, it will be above normal. Winds stay light out of the south and southwest at 5-10 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cool with lows near 37.

TUESDAY: We’ll finally see some sunshine on Tuesday. Look for a mix of sun and clouds throughout the afternoon. It’s going to be breezy and mild with highs climbing into the lower and middle 50s. Winds will be a bit brisk out of the WSW between 10-15 mph.

8-DAY FORECAST: The clouds return for Wednesday as a weak system approaches. We may see a few showers late Wednesday night. Highs stay close to 50. Temperatures drop a little for Thursday, Friday and Saturday with highs in the 40s. Another rainmaker heads this way on Friday. This could bring us a good chance at some more moderate to heavy rain Friday. Colder air arrives late Friday night into Saturday changing over some of the precipitation to snow. Colder air moves into the Great Lakes for the end of the weekend. It looks like this cold blast may keep highs in the 20s and lows in the teens for late in the weekend and early next week.
