Rain and snow chances for Friday, warmer weekend ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Another chilly day is in the books across central Indiana.

Thursday night:

Expect a wet night with scattered rain showers with light snow mixing in going into our Friday morning. Snow is likely for the northern counties.

Lows dip into the mid 30s.


Expect your Friday to start off rainy with light snow continuing in the northern counties. Minor snow accumulations will be confined to the far northern portion of our viewing area. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for that portion of the viewing area.

This system will move out by the afternoon hours.

Friday will be a cool and damp day overall with highs topping out in the mid to upper 40s.


We will rebound nicely going into your Saturday as we dry out for the day. This will help boost our temperatures into the mid 50s. It will be a nice day to enjoy some fresh air.

Rain chances return for late Saturday night and through Sunday afternoon, and we will have several chances for rain and storms through midweek. With these rain chances, temperatures will continue to rise from the upper 50s on Sunday to the mid 60s by midweek.
