Rain and storms return

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A mild and slightly less humid start to Thursday morning with temperatures in the lower 70s with a partly cloudy sky. Chance of showers and storms Thursday will occur mainly during the afternoon with highs in the upper 80s. Humidity will still remain high, making temperatures feel like the lower 90s. Thursday night, we’ll keep cloud cover around with lows in the lower 70s.

Friday will start off dry with mostly cloudy skies. Highs will warm to the mid 80s with a few storms during the afternoon and evening hours. There is a slight risk of severe weather from Indy and points north while areas south of I-70 have a marginal risk of severe storms. Two storm systems will impact us with leftovers of Hurricane Laura and a cold front that will sag through the state. This will bring storm chances pretty much widespread through the afternoon Friday and Friday evening.

A few Saturday morning showers and storms but we should salvage the afternoon with sun and clouds and highs in the lower 80s. Humidity will drop Sunday as well as temperatures making for a gorgeous wrap to the weekend!

Next week looks unsettled for now with daily shower and storm chances with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
