Several rain chances

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Rain chances will continue as we wrap up the weekend, with several more opportunities for rain for the new week.

Sunday:

A cold front will swing through the state, sparking scattered showers with a few isolated thunderstorms possible. Rain should gradually diminish once we lose some of the daytime heating during the late evening hours.

Highs top out in the lower to middle 70s.

Sunday night:

Expect a mostly cloudy sky with some isolated showers. Lows fall to the lower to middle 60s.

Monday:

There will be some spotty showers, but otherwise it should be mostly cloudy.

Highs top out in the middle 70s.

8 day forecast:

Much of Tuesday should be dry. However, we can’t rule out a spotty shower or storm for the afternoon hours. The next system slides in from the south Wednesday into early Thursday, bringing widespread showers and storms to the area. Isolated showers still remain through the end of the week before drying out for the weekend. Highs remain close to or just above average.
