Terrific Thursday before a warm up this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We’re in store for another quiet weather day before temperatures rise later this weekend.

THURSDAY: Look for a hazy sky as smoke from wildfires in the western US and Canada continues to sink farther southward. We’ll see some sunshine and a dry day today. Humidity values will be tolerable and temperatures will be right around normal for this time of year. Highs climb into the low and middle 80s.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Skies remain hazy tonight with partly cloudy skies. It will be comfortable with lows falling into the upper 60s close to 70.

FRIDAY: Temperatures climb a few degrees for the end of the workweek. Highs climb in the middle to upper 80s. Humidity values rise a little. Skies will be mostly sunny with just a slight chance for an isolated shower later in the afternoon.

SATURDAY: Temperatures really begin to climb for the weekend. It’s going to be hot and much more humid. Look for mostly sunny skies for the weekend but there’s a chance for a few scattered showers or thunderstorms for the afternoon. Highs climb into the upper 80s near 90.

SUNDAY: Another hot and humid day is expected with highs near 90. There’s a chance for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms.

8DAY FORECAST: Heat and humidity continue into the weekend with highs near 90. No big relief from the heat and humidity for much of next week. There’s a chance for a few scattered showers or storms on Monday. Otherwise, look for dry days for much of next week.
