Tracking Thursday’s storms

Wednesday evening forecast

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After a dry Wednesday, we are tracking the return of rain chances with the threat for strong storms.

Wednesday night:

We will have another chilly night with mostly cloudy skies. Lows will dip into the low 40s.

Thursday:

A dry start to the day is expected as clouds and rain chances look to increase Thursday afternoon.

Showers are likely across the region. There is the chance for isolated strong to severe storms mainly south of interstate 70 with damaging wind gusts as the main threat.

Highs will top out in the mid 60s.

Friday:

We look to finally see sunshine return to the forecast. However, expect a much cooler day with high temperatures only reaching the upper 40s to low 50s.

8 Day Forecast: Colder air will settle in as we get into the weekend. Keep the rain gear handy as on and off showers are likely throughout Saturday. As temperatures fall into Saturday night, rain will transition to light snow. We look to make a slight rebound with dry and slightly warmer conditions Sunday.
