Tracking Tuesday night’s storms

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Strong to severe storms remain possible for central Indiana this evening.

Tuesday night:

Scattered showers and storm chances will continue through the evening and nighttime hours. Strong to severe storms are possible during the evening hours.

A Slight Risk of severe weather is in place for a good portion of central Indiana. Main threats are damaging winds and hail, and any thunderstorm will contain heavy rainfall and frequent lightning. Flooding will become a concern throughout the night.

Lows will only dip into the low 70s for what will be a mild night.

Wednesday:

Keep the umbrella handy for your Wednesday as on and off showers and storms will be the story throughout the day. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible.

A Marginal Risk of severe weather is in place for most of central Indiana with the primary threats being damaging winds and hail.

Highs top out in the mid to upper 80s. It will also be very muggy.

Thursday:

Prepare for another warm and muggy day with isolated showers and storms possible in the afternoon hours. Numerous showers and storms are expected south of interstate 70.

Highs top out in the mid to upper 80s.

8 Day Forecast:

The summer heat will continue to sink into the state through the weekend. High temperatures look to get into the low to mid 90s with showers and storm chances for Saturday and Sunday. We look to have a stormy start to the new work week next week.
